The process
A personal comparison, step by step
Measure
Sit quietly for five minutes. The Polar H10 records your starting point.
Breathe
Follow the pace of a guided breathing exercise while keeping an eye on your pulse.
Measure again
Take another five-minute reading while sitting quietly, ideally in the same position.
Reflect
Look at your readings, how you feel and the conditions together: as a point of reference, not as proof of an effect.
Your history
Your own range, not someone else’s norm.
Your personal range takes shape over multiple readings. It helps you make sense of new resting values without turning a single deviation into a diagnosis or a reason to take action.
Are you a coach or therapist?
A shared record for conversations that might otherwise end with “I don’t know.”
For use in your sessions, HRV Flow brings together your clients’ self-reported experience, two resting measurements and a guided breathing exercise in a process you can reflect on together, without diagnosis or claims of effectiveness.

An HRV comparison takes more than a pulse reading.
The Polar H10 records the intervals between heartbeats that the before-and-after comparison is based on. Apple Watch displays your readings on your wrist, controls sessions and can provide your pulse during a breathing exercise. It does not replace an HRV resting measurement with the H10.
Your data stays with you. No account needed.
Your data is processed locally on your Apple devices: no server, tracking or ads. Apple Health is used only if you choose to enable it.

I built what I was missing.
My work as an educator has shaped how I see people in the context of their everyday lives. When I used the H10 myself, I was missing exactly that context for my readings. That’s why I developed HRV Flow: the app brings together measurement, reflection, a guided breathing exercise and a follow-up comparison.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need the Polar H10?
Yes, for HRV measurements and before-and-after comparisons. The breathing exercises themselves can be done without a chest strap.
How much does HRV Flow cost?
HRV Flow is a one-time purchase with no subscription. You can find the current price in the App Store.
How is it different from Apple Watch?
Apple Watch displays your readings, controls sessions and can serve as a pulse fallback during breathing exercises. HRV resting measurements are taken with the Polar H10.
Is HRV Flow a medical device?
No. HRV Flow is a wellness tool and does not replace a diagnosis, therapy or medical advice.
Can one measurement tell me much?
Readings can vary even without an exercise. A single change is not proof of an effect. A comparison becomes more informative across several measurements, alongside your own experience.
Compare your readings without comparing yourself to others.
